Codex → Claude Handoff — Anthropic Batch 2 Synthesis

1. Status

Anthropic batch 2 ingestion is complete. All 30 batch-2 source pages were crawled, indexed, verified, and staged under 00_Raw/anthropic/ with provenance headers.

Do not re-run Firecrawl. Retrieve evidence from the indexed sidecar with semantic_search_sources, using the page IDs and chunk IDs recorded in the raw-file headers.

Two API-reference URLs had to be normalized to current canonical paths during ingestion:

3. Invariants

These synthesis constraints were validated against the ingested corpus and remain binding:

1. Files API beta header is files-api-2025-04-14.
2. MCP connector beta header is mcp-client-2025-11-20; 2025-04-04 is deprecated.
3. Managed Agents beta header is managed-agents-2026-04-01.
4. On Opus 4.7, manual thinking thinking: {type: "enabled", budget_tokens: N} is unsupported and returns 400; adaptive thinking is the valid path.
5. display defaults differ by model generation: Opus 4.6 defaults to "summarized", Opus 4.7 defaults to "omitted".
6. Files API is direct Anthropic API only, not Bedrock or Vertex AI.
7. Tool Runner SDK availability is Python, TypeScript, and Ruby only.
8. Claude Sonnet 4 (claude-sonnet-4-20250514) and Claude Opus 4 (claude-opus-4-20250514) retire on 2026-06-15.
9. Prompt caching write pricing differs by TTL: 5-minute write 1.25x, 1-hour write 2x, read 0.1x.
10. Managed Agents is a separate product surface, not the Messages API tool loop.

For exact chunk_ids, use the provenance headers at the top of each raw file in 00_Raw/anthropic/.

5. Retrieval and Write Rules

1. Retrieve evidence through semantic_search_sources; do not fetch the web again.
2. Preserve the canonical platform.claude.com URLs in note provenance.
3. When you cite a page, use the source_page_id and the concrete chunk_ids from the raw-file header.
4. If a note needs multiple pages, keep all chunk IDs grouped to their originating page_id.
5. Do not flatten model-conditional behavior into universal claims.
6. Validate your written notes with audit-yanp.ps1 and check-broken-links.ps1.
7. Keep this pass scoped to synthesis only. No MOC wiring, index updates, or general graph cleanup.

6. Scope Boundary

Other work is active in the repo. This handoff is the safe boundary:

• safe to proceed: literature/permanent note synthesis from the already-indexed Anthropic batch-2 evidence
• not part of this pass: new crawling, ingestion tooling changes, graph integration, unrelated repo cleanup

When synthesis is complete, hand off separately for graph integration rather than folding it into the same pass.
